Ballet Rocks Ambassador Kat Zander

My life at a dance boarding school. My name is Katriana Zander, I’m 17 years old, and I am currently attending the high school ballet program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. As one can imagine, my schedule can be fairly hectic, balancing dance classes and academics. I have four academic classes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and dance anywhere between 4 to 7 hours a day, depending on rehearsal schedules. A typical dance day would include technique and pointe' in the morning, either pas de deux, contemporary, or rehearsal in the afternoon. If I’m involved in a larger production, I will sometimes have rehearsal after dinner as well.

Because a lot of my day involves pointe' work, it’s a normality to have the usual bruised and ingrown toenails, blisters, and aching bunions. Thankfully, I’ve found the perfect regimen for alleviating some of the horrors: Ballet Rocks®’ Toe Clouds®. After one class of wearing them, I was immediately impressed. I had not been able to find toe pads that formed so well to my foot, weren’t too thick, and lasted more than a few weeks. An additional benefit is that they have made my usually revoltingly scented pointe shoes smell fresh and pleasant. I first tried Toe Clouds® in January and now, nearly two months later, they still give off the same sweet aroma.

It’s true, my life and school can get pretty crazy, but ultimately, what matters is that I’m doing what I love. Furthermore, I am so honored to be an ambassador of Ballet Rocks, whose unique products have made dance that much more enjoyable for me.
